OUR WORK
Since 2020, Kits Cubed has been dedicated to igniting the inner scientist in every child and cultivating a passion for learning. Based in Oakland, CA our organization is driven by a deep passion for giving back to our local community.
One of our core initiatives involves donating our science kits to schools, providing students with the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning experience and cultivate a genuine passion for scientific exploration. We have donated over 40,000 kits so far in our effort to make STEM education accessible to all students.
Since our establishment, we have garnered tremendous support from various organizations throughout the Bay Area. In addition to our kit donation efforts, we have expanded our reach by forming partnerships with the community. This has allowed us to organize a diverse array of events, including summer camps, STEM Days, STEM Fairs, and many other exciting activities.
Through these endeavors, we aim to create inclusive spaces where students can engage with STEM subjects. By fostering a supportive environment and offering diverse learning opportunities, we strive to empower young minds, spark their curiosity, and fuel their enthusiasm for science and discovery.
As we grow, we hope to continue to forge more partnerships and together reach more students.
OUR PROGRAMS

An exciting 10-week program named “The Energy Lab”, where we organized and provided an after school program at the Oakland Academy of Knowledge (OAK) throughout March to May. Students explored renewable energy alternatives through hands-on workshops at no extra cost to families.
Some of the activities included: learning wind energy through wind turbines, exploring water layers through a rainbow ocean in a tank, and figuring out how coastal erosion works through wave tanks– just to name a few!

Our Summer Camp is usually an immersive week-long experience held in Oakland, where students dive into the exciting world of STEM under the guidance of Ahmed Muhammad. Participants engage in a variety of hands-on activities and experiments, using diverse materials that spark curiosity and creativity. This dynamic environment is designed to inspire a deeper appreciation for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, making learning an unforgettable adventure!

As part of our mission to inspire and educate the Bay Area youth in STEM, we are excited to offer families specially crafted science kits, fully developed and illustrated by Kits Cubed, at our events. These engaging kits serve as a bridge to bring the wonders of science back into homes, making learning into a fun and interactive experience. By providing these resources, we aim to ignite a lifelong passion for STEM in young minds and create memorable bonding moments for families.
